Monica has been a great doctor for us. but the admins at the front almost make it unbearable to want to return. I called to request a phone call appointment with Monica and I was already fully aware that it would require a payment. the admin proceeds to tell me insurance companies are changing policies by the day and may not pay for it. I know that my policy doesn't change except for one time per year and we had a tele-appointment with Monica that was paid for by my insurance. I tell this to the admin but I get the sense they get miffed when a client talks back to them. they forget that my wife and I are the clients. it's the petty snarkiness of the admin that makes dealing with them more difficult than it should be. and this is on top of having to make 12 phone calls to their office and to the office of the MRIs to make sure Ortega wellness sent the correct documentation to the correct branch of the MRI office. I work and had to hold their hands through this process because for some reason they are above picking up the phone to confirm the referral was received correctly. again, I'm the client? I work, my time is valuable to me and my employer. if it wasn't for Monica's

If you have a busy life and don’t have time to micromanage every step don’t bother with this office. I showed up at 10:40 and 30 seconds and they cancelled my appointment and refused to work with me. Zero care for patients. Don’t waste your time

I went to establish medical care. The provider said I need to get a mammogram which I’m agreeable. We discussed medications and a serious pancreas issue. I asked for a refill of a pretty basic medication which she was agreeable to. I asked for supplies to check my glucose levels. She was also agreeable to that. I walked out of the clinic with none of what we discussed. It sounds like basic medical care is conditional upon a quick return. Is this clinic so hard up for patients that they have to suck up as much billing as possible before preventative treatment is given? I went from relieved to offended and defeated with an hour.

Do not go to this place. They do not deserve the one star required to post. Front staff is quite unprofessional and rude. They overcharged me for 2 medications and did not notify me until I asked to cancel one of them. They were unable to calculate the overcharge because they "do not itemize charges." I had to calculate the amount they owed because they refused to do it correctly. At the latest appointment, I expressed concern about my antidepressants running low in supply. I asked for an over the counter sample to hold me over until the mail-in pharmacy received my prescription request. I wasn't given a sample and assured I would have my prescription on time and was sent on my way. To no one's surprise, I ran out of medication. As some of you may be aware, stopping antidepressants suddenly is dangerous. I suffered severe withdrawal symptoms. I reached out the the office to see if they can send a prescription to a local pharmacy for quick pick-up and received no response. Will not go here ever again and will probably file a report with the Medical Review Board.
