If you are looking for a more natural and nurturing medical practice, Lakeside is a very good place to check out. Dr Axtell is knowledgeable and takes the time to get to know you. Her recommendations are a collaboration with the patient, very unlike most traditional medical treatment. Her staff is also welcoming and her office is a place of no stress. She does not take most insurance, mostly because most insurance doesn't cover natural medicine doctors.

Dr. Aponte has helped me with so many things over the past 6 months; I'm honestly blown away by the progress. From healing my acne to stomach, energy, and hormonal issues. She offers a very well-rounded approach with testing to help find the root cause of my problems, along with educating me about daily nutrition, herbal supplements, and a new skin care routine. She's also always quick to respond to my email questions. Highly recommend - it's worth the price!

I started with Dr. Mackenzie Prentice and Lakeside Natural Medicine just over two years ago. I loved her scientific approach. She established a baseline for me and saw opportunities to reduce the statins I was taking. I'm not anti-medicine but when your liver is being evaluated every six-months because of the potential negative impact of the statins, you have to wonder if you are on the right path. My BP dosage is half of what it was and my statins are at an eighth of what they were while beating the benchmarks. Dr. P. listened to my concerns and addressed each and every one of them. As a CPA under stress and working crazy hours during tax season Dr. P. set me up with various supplements. I was getting quality sleep (unfortunately not enough) and feeling energized. I was eating right and following her protocol. My body would usually feel battered and worn out after tax day. She listened to what I was saying and made adjustment that really helped. Dr. P. and Lakeside Natural Medicine are game changers! They have made a huge difference in my quality of life and outlook for the future. They know what they are doing and their fees are very reasonable. I would highly encoura
